Thinking can Prevent us from our Dream Life

Got BIG dreams, but don’t know if you’ll make it?

Feel like you’re trapped in your current circumstances?

Maybe disappointed with yourself because you can’t find a way out?

I get it. I’ve been there, too.

The internet has opened our eyes. We look around and see others creating and living incredible lives.

We see the freedom, the security, the fun, the adventure.

We want it, too.

And, why not?

What makes them different from us? We’re human. We deserve a good life.

We deserve to be happy. To be free.

So, we tell ourselves we’ve had enough, we’re gonna make a change.

A spur of motivation rushes through. We’re convinced. We’re determined.

We’re going to start living the life we want.

We get our notepad out, and begin making plans.

We got this.

We create a HUGE vision. BIG goals to match our BIG dreams.

We work on it all day. Then, night time comes around.

We’ve taken action. We feel like we had a productive day. So, we go to bed and we sleep well.

Then, comes the next day.

We wake up, run through our routine, grab our tea/coffee, and bring the notepad back out.

We look at our plans, and then we sink into our chair.

That awful feeling in our core comes about.

We thought we were going to start something amazing today.

It was time for a new chapter.

What happened?

We saw our plans, our BIG plans… and felt paralyzed.

What were we thinking?

“THIS? I can’t do ALL THIS!”

“I’ve never even done that one before!”

“How do you even do that?”

“Oh, I don’t have the skills, the money, the resources, the team!”

“Where on earth would I even start?”

“Ugh, this is too hard.”

Yeah… I don’t how that goes.

Countless ideas that would have otherwise worked, down the drain.

I can’t begin to tell you how many opportunities I missed.

All because I gave in…

To what?

To that voice in my head.

The ego. The inner resistance. The conditioned self.

Ultimately, to fear.

See, we all have this tiny little part of us that thinks it knows who we are.

Often times, we let this little part of us become a big part of us.

We let it create difficult situations out of something that would otherwise be simple and easy.

Just by thinking, we put obstacles that didn’t exist before in our way.

Then, we jump to a conclusion and label it “hard”, or worse, “impossible.

That’s usually how the pattern goes.

“There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.” – William Shakespeare

So, what’s the solution?

It sounds simple, and it is.

We have big goals, and that’s good.

Now, we need small tiny objectives that take us closer to those big goals.

Big enough that they’re STILL worthwhile to achieve – otherwise, we’ll think it insignificant and won’t do it.

But, small enough that we WON’T FREEZE when it’s time for action.

That’s it.

That’s the format these giants use to reach the levels they’ve reached.

And, that’s the format we can use to reach the level we want to achieve.

It may be something we haven’t done before. It may be that we’ll need to learn some new things, fail a few times. But, we can do this.

We have something deep within us. Something more powerful than that little voice. Something so profound, we can’t use words to describe it – so, I’ll just call it the Warrior’s Spirit.

This Warrior’s Spirit can help us through ANY difficulty.

The ego – the inner resistance – it’s NO MATCH.

So, embrace your Warrior Spirit.

Denounce all the conditioned parts of yourself that no longer serve you.

It’s time for a new chapter.
