Yes – it’s there.
Uncertainty. Doubt. Fear. Widespread panic and Economic Recession.
No doubt, we’re living in the midst of some chaotic times. Everywhere. All throughout the world. People are isolated and feeling vulnerable. Things are wild. Humanity is alarmed, and health and well being has become a major concern.
Individuals dread thinking about their bills and finances, and are in terror of meeting their obligations.
I get it. This pandemic is causing a lot of anxiety and throwing many into deep depression.
Not me, though. And not you, either. Not if I can help it.
See, from my perspective, life’s all about PERSPECTIVE.
Studying the many greats that have come before us, it’s become clear that the thoughts an individual holds governs the experience of their ENTIRE life.
Change your thoughts and you change your world.
Not the physical manifestations of it – at least, not immediately – but your EXPERIENCE of it.
“Fuck rational thought”
― George Carlin

“A thought, even a possibility, can shatter and transform us.”
― Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche
“It isn’t what you have, or who you are, or where you are, or what you are doing that makes you happy or unhappy. It is what you think about.”
― Dale Carnegie
“A man is literally what he thinks, his character being the complete sum of all his thoughts.”
― James Allen
“The primary cause of unhappiness is never the situation, but your thoughts about it. Be aware of the thoughts you are thinking.”
― Eckhart Tolle
“The key to every man is his thought. Sturdy and defying though he look, he has a helm which he obeys, which is the idea after which all his facts are classified. He can only be reformed by showing him a new idea which commands his own.”
― Ralph Waldo Emerson
So, how can one find peace and order in the midst of this chaos and uncertainty?
Let’s take a BRIEF dive into Eastern Philosophy.
In Taoist teachings, we encounter the simple and seemingly unsophisticated Yin Yang symbol quite often. It’s a circle with even distribution of black and white in it.
How can that help us here?
Well, to the earnest Seeker, there’s always further depth to explore.
First, let’s clarify that the symbol is in COMPLETE balance. You can split the symbol in two with a straight line from any angle, and still, it will always remain balanced. Therefore, we can conclude that the Black GOES WITH the White.
In other words, they’re NOT SEPARATE. And this is why the symbol is called Yin Yang, and not Yin AND Yang.
Now, how in the world can this help us with our thinking right now? What’s this guy trying to say? Did his quarantine period start a little earlier than others – a little too much earlier?
Maybe. Lol.
Or maybe, I’m trying to tell you that everything’s in place, and happening in accordance with what NEEDS to be.
“In all chaos there is a cosmos, in all disorder a secret order.
― Carl Jung
Look, I understand. Shit’s REAL and things are happening to put many in danger.
BUT, there’s also the other side…
Have you noticed how people all over are building stronger, more honest, bonds with one another? Have you seen how those who lead us with weak values are being exposed? Have you seen the articles (FROM CREDIBLE SOURCES) showing how rapidly the pollution is declining and how the water in various areas are clearing? How about the major health and hygiene shifts people are making all over?
See, there’s a lot of good happening – and it’s happening right underneath our noses!
It’s just… some of us are choosing the breath only with our mouths.
And that’s OK, I guess. At the present moment, we’re all doing our best with what we know and are capable of.
But Now, let’s kick it up a notch. Let’s begin to make a sincere decision find peace within the chaos. Let’s start taking progressive steps to find beauty in the ugly.
Maybe then, JUST MAYBE, will we start contributing to the growth and healing of nature and mankind, instead of the opposite – which leads to death and destruction.
….
