A smart but jobless man applied for a desk job position at an office of a very big corporation.
The employer interviewed him, then gave him a test; the man passed.
“You’re hired” the employer said. “Give me you’re email address, and I’ll send you the application to fill, as well as your start date.”
The man replied, “I don’t have a computer, or an email address”
“I’m sorry,” said the employer, “if you don’t have an email address, that means this job isn’t for you.”
The man left with no hope for the corporate world. He didn’t know what to do; he only had $15 in his pocket.
An idea sparked in his head, and he then decided to go to the supermarket.
He purchased a large case of strawberries, then sold them door to door.
In less than two hours, he succeeded and doubled his money.
He repeated the system he discovered 2 more times, and returned home with $120.
The man realized that he could actually make a living this way, and started to go everyday earlier, and returned later.
Thereby so, his financial situation improved every day.
Shortly after, he bought a cart, then a truck, and then eventually grew to have his own employees, with their own delivery vehicles that he supplied to them.
In about 5 years, the man’s company was one of the biggest in the grocery industry.
He thought he should begin to plan his and his family’s future, and decided to contact a lawyer to help draft a will.
When the conversation with the attorney was coming to an end, the man was asked for his email.
To which he replied, “I don’t have a computer, or an email address”
The lawyer was surprised. He asked curiously, “You don’t have an email, and yet you’ve built this huge empire. Can you imagine where you would be, and what you would have accomplished, if you had an email?
The man thought for a moment, then replied:
“Yeah, in an office with a desk job.”
